Dr. Jay Goodson in Sumter, SC

Dr. James Arthur Goodson IV, better known as “Jay,” was born and raised here in Sumter, SC. He graduated from Wilson Hall School in 2014. He studied at Clemson University and graduated in 2018 with a B.S. in biology. With a premeditated career path from a young age, it is no coincidence he graduated from school at the Medical University of South Carolina as his next step. Jay graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2022 and has been a member of the Palmetto Family and Cosmetic Dentistry teamsince 2022.

Committed to excellence, Dr. Goodson is a personable, dedicated, and passionate dentist. His biggest passion in his career is to help others feel confident and secure with themselves through their smile. Dr. Goodson looks forward to serving his community through dentistry and continuing to grow his relationships with his patients.

Jay and his wife, Jane Elizabeth Goodson, married in 2020 and have one child, Addie Phifer. He and his family attend Christ Community Church. In his free time, he loves working out, being on the water, cooking, and, most importantly, spending time with friends and family.
