Invisalign® Moves More Than Teeth

Invisalign Clear Aligners Straighten Crooked and Misaligned Teeth.

Invisalign® is an advanced orthodontic technology that allows you to straighten your teeth quickly, discreetly, and comfortably. Using a series of virtually invisible aligners, Invisalign gently guides your teeth into place for a beautifully straight smile. Not to mention, boosting your confidence and self-esteem.

Palmetto Family and Cosmetic Dentistry is an Invisalign® Provider in Sumter, SC. Our highly experienced doctors provide Invisalign clear aligners as an alternative to traditional braces. We can plan and monitor every stage of your orthodontic treatment, so you achieve the best results.

How Does Invisalign Work?

Invisalign® aligners are custom-made to fit snugly over your teeth. Each aligner in the series applies gentle, consistent pressure to guide your teeth into place. Created out of SmartTrack® material, Invisalign clear aligners can shape your smile more accurately than ever before. Now up to 2x faster.

Benefits of Invisalign

Traditional metal braces are bulky, obvious, and uncomfortable. In contrast, Invisalign aligners have smooth, clear surfaces, making them more comfortable and discreet. The clear aligners are also removable, allowing you to maintain your oral health more easily. Simply remove them when it is time to brush or floss your teeth. Also, the Invisalign® advanced orthodontic treatment eliminates the need for food restrictions. In fact, you can enjoy your favorite foods without worrying about food particles remaining in your brackets.

Some of the key benefits to Invisalign include:

No brackets to hide.
No restrictions on food or drinks.
No unexpected trips to the doctor due to broken wires or brackets.

Candidates for Invisalign®

Invisalign can treat many of the same conditions as traditional braces, including:

Overbites
Underbites
Cross bites
Open bites
Rotated teeth
Gaps
Overcrowding

The aligners are specially designed to treat mild to moderate cases of misalignment. However, for more complex issues, you may require treatment with traditional orthodontics. Your doctor can perform a comprehensive dental exam during your initial consultation. Then, discuss your goals, needs, and options with you to recommend the optimal treatment option.

Your Invisalign Treatment

During your initial consultation, we will take a series of digital impressions to create a precise 3-D image of your teeth. Then, your doctor can map out a treatment plan fine tuning shifts for every tooth. Finally, you can preview your future smile.

For the best results, wear your aligners 20 to 22 hours a day. You should wear your aligners for one to two weeks as prescribed by your dentist. Also, you will visit our office about every six weeks, so we can check your progress.
